Freeze Dried Cranberry Champagne Sparkler Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup freeze-dried cranberries
- 1 bottle of champagne (750 ml), chilled
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the cranberry syrup: In a saucepan, combine freeze dried cranberries, sugar, and water. Heat until sugar dissolves and cranberries soften (about 5 minutes). Cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing berries to extract syrup. Let cool completely.
- Add 1 tablespoon of syrup to each champagne flute. Top with chilled champagne for a layered effect.
- Gently stir, garnish with mint, and serve immediately.

It didn't even cross my mind to buy these, because I hate Ocean Spray dried cranberries, and I thought these would be similar. But then, I got a sample in one of my orders. And the sample convinced me! These are incredibly addictive, delicious, yummy, not too sweet and not too sour, crunchy and light, just perfect! As a snack, they taste similar to the cherries, which are more expensive. So good. I got a couple of bags last time, I will get more! Highly recommended! As always, shipping to Toronto from Vancouver was fast.
