Freeze Dried Apple Powder

Recipe: Freeze-Dried Apple Powder Cake

Ingredients:

• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup freeze-dried apple powder
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, freeze-dried apple powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

3. In a separate large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mixing until just combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the top with a spatula.

6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

7. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before removing it from the pan and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

8. Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar or top with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
